Last One In's A Rotten Egg is a muscular tour de force that delivers a heavy slice of electro-soused debauchery - housed each month in the perfect venue for such a sweaty affair - the 333 Mother Bar. It's absolutely the place to go if you like your beats chunky, mashed-up and in-your-face: an ideal prescription for a nutritious nu-rave knees up.

Capture the Castle, South Coast electro new kids on the block, are making all the right noises at the moment and this was one of their first sets at L.O.I. – their new London residency. Unfortunately for them they played an early set when the club wasn't really at its peak and their second set downstairs was during the much-lauded Streetlife DJs slot - but they are undoubtedly a huge new talent and clearly know how to turn a shapely electro set. Keep your ears to the ground for more from these cats.

Streetlife DJs, a bass-heavy duo with a flagrant disregard for pigeon-holing, rained their beats down like napalm for 2 frenzied hours onto the well-pleased dancefloor. High energy, vital, addictive dance music which tears up the floor and has you baying for more - exactly what clubbing is all about. The children of the night at 333 were lapping up the beats like frisky little kittens – they had the entire club going bananas. Their policy of putting old tunes through the Streetlife blender and turning up the heat results in an interesting, dirty clash of turbo-funked mayhem. Rock any dancefloor, they will.

Last up party-starters and brains behind L.O.I - the mighty Jac The Disco - took to the stage to deliver a nu-rave package which spanned the musical eras and referenced everything from electro to post punk via techno, old club classics and nu-rave mash ups. Jac The Disco have gained a following in the UK for their unpredictable and relentless sets, and their home-crowd flagship performance was upfront and accomplished.

The L.O.I line-up perfectly encapsulated the 2008 DJ trend for throwing together wildly different genres, pumping the whole package up with a heady techno-electro laced mix and creating a mashed-up wedge of seismic, floor-shaking, fucking good dance music. All three main acts this evening did an impressive job, blending styles and artists with a heavy emphasis on the phat, laughing in the face of genre categorisation and keeping the dancefloor at boiling point for the entire night. The Mother Bar was packed to the rafters with excitable ravers til the bitter end.

Last One In is an awesome night and well worth checking out for anyone who wants to hear cutting edge music delivered by talented DJs who use their skills and push the boundaries - rather than relying on a famous name to pull a crowd. The music policy at Last One In really cannot be faulted. Ace.
