Adam Buxton is best known as one half of the Adam & Joe double act, whose cult Channel 4 series,The Adam and Joe Show, was shot in their bedsit and ran from 1996 to 2001. The show continues today in radio format on BBC6 every Saturday. Dr Buckles (as BBC6 fans might know him) has an affinity with making comic videos; particularly shorts which you can check out on YouTube. He also co-wrote and starred in the E4 mini-series The Last Chancers, about a fledgling rock band in Brighton.
In 2005, Buxton moved from screen to stage, performing character comedy at the Edinburgh Fringe, with a show was entitled I, Pavel, for which he grew a beard. He still works as a stand-up comedian today, appearing mostly in London comedy clubs but also making appearances on TV shows such as Have I Got News For You, Never Mind The Buzzcocks,The IT Crowd, Don't Watch That, Watch This, and Look Around You.
