Brian Gittins (played by actor David Earl), runs a roadside café in Pyecombe by day and performs stand-up comedy by night, having been told by so many customers he was 'quite funny'.
His routine as an emerging entertainer is hilarious and shambolic - bad jokes are accompanied by amusing facial ticks, grunts and 'oh dears', which only adds to the comedy of the act. He also loves roping in the audience for his antics which can include anything from wearing silly masks to singing the hokey cokey. Badly.
He is a resident comedian at Knock2Bag comedy night in Shepherd's Bush and regularly appears in clubs all over London and the rest of the UK. An amazingly unique and entertaining act, this is character comedy at its best.
Pyecombe’s finest cafe owner and Ricky Gervais support act, the hilarious Brian Gittins hosts a new chat show where you the live audience can be his guests.
