Idiots of Ants, consisting of Andrew Spiers, James Wrighton, Benjamin Wilson and Elliott Tiney were formed in November 2006. After various stand-up shows and NewsRevue gigs, the group decided they wanted to perform their own group sketch comedy, dressed in 70's suits.
They are currently very popular on the sketch circuit regularly playing all over London in loads of the new nights cropping up designed to redress the balance of stand-up to sketch ratio. Their style is fast-paced and their sketches are always pretty unique such as the one with the gay emperor penguin or the one mocking the female sterotype. Their skills rest with acting and slick performance; their weaker points are their writing and consistency. Once all their sketches are on an equally good footing they will surely be a group to be reckoned with.
