James Sherwood
Comedian and musician James Sherwood started out in PR, where his gift for one-liners eventually led to a career in commercial radio, then stand-up. He now gigs regularly around the UK circuit, his sets usually a mix of silly comedy songs and sharp observational humour.
A gifted classical singer, Sherwood also regularly take part in London church choirs despite not being Christian. His musical background also saw him compose the vocal arrangement for the University Challenge theme tune, which featured on a BBC2 documentary about the quiz.
