John Gordillo
Genres: Stand Up, As Seen on TVAfter six years away from the comedy circuit, while he wrote and presented topical show The RDA With John Gordillo for BBC Choice and worked on numerous other live shows, sharp comedian John Gordillo returned to the stand-up scene in 2006 with his solo debut show Free which he performed for the Free Fringe.
Hardly a stranger to writing Fringe scripts, John also directed and co-devised a number of productions since 2003, including two Perrier-nominated ones with Reginald D Hunter - White Woman and A Mystery Wrapped in a Nigga, Shazia Mirza: Fun and Ealing Live in Edinburgh!
Away from Edinburgh he's directed Reg Hunter in the West End, the Hollow Men off-Broadway, done two seasons of the acclaimed weekly gang show Ealing Live! and directed and produced Eddie Izzard's Unrepeatable and Live At The Ambassadors shows.
Clearly an intelligent and talented comic, on-screen or behind the scenes, on-stage, John Gordillo is a captivating and energetic performer who throws himself into his performance and never fails to make you think or see something from a different angle.
