Kevin Eldon

If you were a big fan of '90s comedy shows like Fist of Fun, I'm Alan Partridge, Big Train and Brass Eye then it's likely you'll recognise Kevin Eldon.

He started his stand-up career doing stand-up spots ("some sub-Ben Elton schtick") before moving into characters like Kevin Boyle and Paul Hamilton the puffed-up poet. He then joined forces with Stewart Lee and Richard Herring to play a series of roles in Fist of Fun and This Morning With Richard Not Judy.

It is Eldon's flexibility which makes him such a popular choice for comedy roles; easily adapting himself to a whole range of character types from the pompous to the creepy.

He has appeared in pretty much every notable black comedy series since collaborating with the likes of Chris Morris, Julia Davis, Armando Ianucci and Steve Coogan to make shows like Brass Eye, Nighty Night, Jam, Nathan Barley and I'm Alan Partridge. He has also helped Morris write Big Train, Blue Jam and Attention Scum.

In 2010, Eldon took his first solo show: Kevin Eldon is Titting About to the Edinburgh Festival, where it got a smattering of 5 star reviews and was nominated for the main award.
