Lee Evans

Sweaty Betty Lee Evans, rose to fame in the 1990's for his manic, physical routines; so full of slapstick and 'nervous' energy that he often drew numerous comparisons to Norman Wisdom. He gets so drenched in sweat during his gigs that he frequently has to change clothes in the break.

He won a Perrier Award in 1993 at the Edinburgh Festival and his star has been in the ascendant ever since - he has now appeared in front of thousands of people on-stage and millions of people through TV and film.

Evans' 2008 Big Tour is now the biggest comedy tour of all time breaking all records, selling out in every venue to over 500,000 people in 59 arenas. The DVD became the best selling comedy DVD in Britain for Christmas, selling over one million copies.

Also a multi-talented musician, Evans can play the mandolin, the ukulele, the guitar, the bass, the electronic keyboard, the piano and drums and will often finish a set with a musical skits and mimes such as Queen's 'Bohemian Rhapsody'.
