Markus Birdman
Markus Birdman performs stand-up all over the UK and in the past has won the Lewisham Comedy Festival Open Mic 2001 competition, as well as getting to the final of The Daily Telegraph Open Mic 2000 award, Jongleur's New Act 2000 award and Leicester Comedy Festival New Act 2001 award.
His style is slick, well-paced and upbeat comedy, he tells jokes with a smile and keeps them coming thick and fast. He is no doubt a charming comic and well-suited to the role of compere which he does from time to time. His material is hardly ground-breaking, think pops at the Germans and the embarrassment of buying porn, but it never fails to get a laugh from the audience and there is the occasional rude gem.
