After setting out as a stand-up comic in 2001 and winning the 2003 Hackney Empire New Act of the Year award, Matt Kirshen has since travelled all over the world performing in Singapore, Dubai, Europe and the U.S.
He was a featured support act on Marcus Brigstocke and Jeff Green's UK tours in 2005, and opened for Ed Byrne on his forthcoming 2006 tour. In 2007, he was one of the final seven comics in NBC's reality TV show Last Comic Standing; now he frequently performs in London clubs and universities all over the UK.
Kirshen is the first to acknowledge his diminutive height and boyish looks - often starting a set joking about being a target for paedophiles. A hugely likeable comic with bags of talent.
