Michael McIntyre

A regular face on panel shows such as Mock The Week and 8 Out Of 10 Cats, Michael McIntyre has also had his own successful comedy roadshow screened on BBC1.

Since he was nominated for 'Best Newcomer' at the 2003 Edinburgh Fringe he has had a meteoric rise to fame. Performing twice at the Royal Variety Performance and three times on Live at the Apollo, his first DVD Live and Laughing was the fastest and biggest selling debut of all time, only to be trumped by his follow up DVD Hello Wembley, which sold 1.3 million copies. In 2009, he played live to half a million people in 54 arenas, including a record breaking six nights at Wembley and four at the London’s O2.

He is the stereotypical observational comic; don't expect politics, satire or literary references from this guy, you are more likely to hear about British weather, the tube or traffic jams. However, while his subject matter might not be the most cerebral, he comes at it from a fresh perspective and has the characteristics and nuances of British behaviour down to a tee.
