Omid Djalili
Anglo-Iranian comic Omid Djalili has had enormous success over the past 15 years with hit shows such as Short Fat Kebab Shop Owner's Son','Omid Djalili Is Ethnic','Behind Enemy Lines' and the most popular yet 'No Agenda'in 2005, which had record breaking sales on the fringe totalling 16,500.
Not only acclaimed as one of Britain's funniest stand up comedians, he has also featured in films including 'The Mummy', 'Gladiator', 'Spy Game', 'Casanova', and 'Pirates of the Caribbean III'. His talents have led him all over the world,including Australia, Austria, the USA, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Holland, Sweden, Norway, Switzerland, Slovakia and most recently he performed in Qatar for the Emir where he shared a stage with Bill Clinton.
His material mainly centers on issues of race; he can start off as the stereotypical anti-Western foreigner and then turn it around to parody the English stereotype displaying an intelligent and funny reflection of British culture seen through the eyes of an outsider.
