Sarah Silverman
Sarah Silverman is a comedian, actress and musician based in the US. She is well-known for her controversial stand-up sets, tackling subjects like race, religion and sex head-on by playing a naive caricature of a precious Jewish girl.
She is also famous for making caustic remarks about celebrities like Paris Hilton and Britney Spears at the MTV Music Awards. In 2005, she released a feature film of her stand-up show - Sarah Silverman: Jesus Is Magic which did well at the box office despite the fact it features some of her edgiest routines.
In 2007, she launched her own sitcom, The Sarah Silverman Program which was a fictionalised take on her own life, co-starring her sister Laura and alternative comedy actors Jay Johnston and Brian Posehn. She has also appeared on numerous TV shows including Monk, The Larry Saunders Show and Seinfeld.
In 2008, she appeared as a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in order to show Jimmy Kimmel, her boyfriend, a video she had made with Matt Damon. It featured a song called "I'm Fucking Matt Damon", in which she and Damon sang a duet about having an affair behind Kimmel's back. The video created a classic YouTube sensation and has had over 5 million views.
