Scott Capurro

San Franciscan comedian Scott Capurro is not for the faint hearted. His caustic humour is deliberately provocative - pet topics have included Madeline McCann and the Holocaust in the past.

In 1994, he was awarded the Perrier Award for his show Risk Gay at the Edinburgh Fringe. He has written for several papers including The Guardian, The Times, Gay Times and The Scotsman as well as penning a comedy novel about murder and date rape called Fowl Play.

When he's not doing stand-up, he also acts in films and presents TV shows; previously appearing in 8 out of 10 Cats, The Truth about Gay Animals, The Blame Game and Mrs Doubtfire.

He also has some excellent put-downs for hecklers including: "It's always the middle class white liberals, isn't it? He's probably gone home to beat his wife up". Always razor sharp and fearless, Capurro will really appeal to those who like their comedy black.
