Terry Saunders

Comedian and skilled storyteller Terry Saunders originally set out to be a playwright which is probably why his humour revolves round tales that are funny, self-deprecating, colourful and at times touching, but not always punctuated by obvious gags.

After an unsuccessful stint in the Soho Theatre's young writers group, he made the move to comedy and ended up with three popular Edinburgh shows under his belt, 2005's Romantic Comedy, 2006's Pulp Boy and Missed Connections in 2007. He was also nominated by Chortle for Best Breakthrough Act and Best Show for Missed Connections.

His shows are an alternative mixture of comedy, theatre and storytelling, and it is easy to be drawn in by his friendly tones and frank confessions.
