Scottish comic William Andrews began his career in character as unemployed Geordie-turned-stand-up Tony Carter at the 2004 Edinburgh Fringe.
He also used to be a sketch performer, appearing in the 2007 Edinburgh show
The Ugly Kid with Greg McHugh. The pair won a 2007 Scottish BAFTA for Best Comedy with their Channel 4 series
Comedy Lab Blowout and had a highly successful run at the 2008 Fringe with their show
Will and Greg: A Sketch Show.
Andrews has since gone solo
again
, taking a multimedia-packed hour of madness to the Fringe in 2009.
