Her Myspace page describes her as 'a label head, a DJ, a producer and a radio personality all rolled into one.' Once a resident at Berlin's slick techno hub Watergate, the so-called 'perpetual motion machine' has over the past few years cemented her reputation on the global club circuit, regularly spinning across Europe and overseas while still checking in on her label Mobilee's residency at Berlin's Weekend club.
As a producer Schneider creates loopy minimal techno with occasional sashays into deep house. Some tracks, with melodic waves and vocal samples, seem custom-made to grip revellers in the early hours of a Sunday morning, while others are much more sparse and downtempo. All of her productions, though, are invariably laden with subtle sounds and nuances best experienced at high decibels.
As a DJ Schneider remains faithful to a minimal-tech sound while inflecting it with electro touches, creating steady streams that keep the crowd moving. While never spilling into commercial dance territory (not even ironically), she manages to keep her sets fun and accessible. Highly recommended.
