Part of what has become known as the 'Swedish House Mafia' along with Sebastian Ingrosso, Eric Prydz and Steve Angello.
Axwell, born Axel Hedfors in Sweden was a self-taught DJ by the time he was in his late teens, learning to play keyboards and programme beats, and releasing acid techno tracks made with Fasttracker2 under the pseudonym Quazar.
Renaming himself Axwell, his productions led to fame and he swiftly rose up the DJ ranks to tour extensively all over the world. His highly charged sets infuse sexy vocal house with a funky driving bassline.
He's had huge success worldwide with his tracks 'Feel the Vibe' and 'I Found You',which picked as an Essential Tune by Pete Tong in 2006. His latest solo production "Feel The Vibe" is arguably his biggest record to date reaching #16 in the UK charts. He has also remixed an impressive list pf artists including Madonna ('Jump'), Nelly Furtado ('Promiscuous'), Bob Sinclar ('I Feel For You') and Faithless ('Music Matters').
