Bass Clef

Making a sound on the fringes of the genre, Bass Clef is perhaps too individual and too whimsical to be called dubstep proper. The playfulness of his strictly analogue, four-tracked pieces, all set down on the fly, not only means that standard dubstep productions sit uncomfortably beside them, but also leads the music into other fields like dub reggae and electronica.

Common threads that do exist include big, wobbly bass, the influence of 2-step garage and stripped-down arrangements, making Bass Clef's one-man shows no joke on the dancefloor. The draw of live trombone and theremin action means it's worth just watching and listening too.
