Pretty much the sole torch-carrier for the Northern Irish dubstep scene, Boxcutter makes tuneful missives that share the crossover appeal of Burial or Vex'd, while like those artists keeping at least one foot firmly within the original margins of the genre.

Willing and able to introduce a broader palate of sounds and ideas, it's people like Boxcutter that arguably might ensure the genre continues to flourish and avoid the possibility of stagnation.
