Dance tycoon Busy P (Pedro Winter) is signed to Ed Banger Records, the musical behemoth he himself created. With strong hip hop and funk influences, Busy executes irresistibly danceable electro and minimal techno for the bass-hungry masses.
This charming Parisian boasts an impressive CV, having managed Daft Punk from 1996-2008, before spreading the message of minimal and orchestral electronic music from the French and German suburbs to the dance floors of the world.
Whilst his label has spawned some of the best French dance exports (Mr Ozio and DJ Mehdi spring to mind), Busy P's personal output must not be overshadowed. Rather like label mates Justice and SebastiAn, he offers apocalyptic synths and slap bass punctuation. Take, for example, the impossibly funky 'Pedrophilia', or the relentless 'Rainbow Man'.
