Adored by thousands of ravers the world over, Dave Clarke - affectionately tagged 'The Baron of Techno' by the late John Peel - is amongst the UK's most famous DJs, and one of the few true veterans still playing credible tunes.
Clarke has a rebel style and wears heavy make-up behind the decks, much like the post-punk new wave icons who inspired him. As a DJ he's famous for messing with crowds, dropping all manner of strange treats but always delivering a super strength dose of irresistible techno.
As a producer he's made his name with big, funk-laden electro-techno stompers like 'Storm' and 'Thunder', and has put his name to a number of seminal albums and mix CDs. The Baron of Techno indeed.
