Nick Slater and Lanx (Kevin Lancaster) met when they were kids. They started feverishly collecting records at 13 and formed old skool rave group Shades of Rhythm with Ryan G in the late 80's.
Drumattic Twins were born out of 12 years of frantic and multi-faceted production accompanied by drum-machine seizures in their loft. The result is a high-octane, upfront sound with a breakbeat backbone and an electro garnish.
They won Best Remix at the 2006 Breakspoll for 'Feelin' Kinda Strange'. Bloody well deserved - it's an absolute belter - and you can hear the early influences of hardcore and old skool in the sample. They rock hard. Finger Lickin' Records think so too.
