Dylan Rhymes is Marvin Beaver - an immensely talented DJ and producer whose music mashes up breaks, house and techno.
He was a former British Airways employee who bought a cheap home studio after a chance meeting with a fellow producer. Supplemented with the Roland TR808 and TR909, he started knocking out acid house white labels.
His talent was noticed by Ron Wells and Chris Simmons - co-owners of the Wax Factory imprint. Dave Pearce's Reachin' Records also picked up a few of his tracks, and he set up Peace Division with Justin Drake in the early 90's.
He began producing breaks as Dylan Rhymes (a Bob Dylan reference) and his track for Junior Boys Own 'Naked and Ashamed' became one of the labels biggest tracks (it was used in a Smirnoff ad).
Since then he's become known as one of the key players in the UK breaks scene and is co-owner of tech-funk label Lot49 with Meat Katie.
