Ellen Allien
Ellen Allien grew up surrounded by the Berlin Wall, border controls and a constant military presence. Little wonder she sought an outlet and found it in music, teaching herself the electric organ and how to read music.
Fast-forward to the present day and its all paid off; she has become a respected DJ on the Berlin scene and across Europe.
Her recorded output pays homage to her upbringing and the city she loves, but an Ellen Allien set is no sombre affair, she truly celebrates life through music.
