World-famous DJ, producer and label owner, Ewan Pearson has been in the business since 1998. More renowned for his muiscal output than his turntable skills, he has released an impressive amount of remixes for the likes of Depeche Mode, Chemical Brothers, Seelenluft, Franz Ferdinand and Freeform 5 which have made him one of dance music’s most respected producers. He has programmed for Goldfrapp and Gwen Stefani and his production credits include Tracey Thorn's acclaimed solo album 'Out Of The Woods', The Rapture's 'Pieces of the People We Love', as well as Ladytron, Chikinki and Jeb Loy Nichols amongst others.
Although he is most respected for his studio work, his debut DJ mix CD 'Sci-Fi-Hi-Fi Vol.1' also garnered praise for its unique take on electro house, and last year his Resident Advisor Podcast was voted Best of 2006. His Fabric 35 mix, throwing together Detroit techno (Carl Craig, Samuel L Session), post-punk funk (Liquid Liquid), minimal (Marc Houle, Exercise One, Samim) and neo-trance (Aril Brikha) was an instant hit and he continues to attract huge crowds at Fabric in London,Manumission and Space in Ibiza, the Pulp in Paris, and PanoramaBar in Berlin.
"At the moment I love techno but I don't just play sort of minimal clicky stuff. What bores me when everyone is doing the same thing. I just find the stuff that moves me and try and make it work."
