Grooverider

Riiiiiider! As MC Moose likes to say, some would say a little too often, when given the chance to MC over beats laid down by this bona fide member of the Drum N Bass Royal Family.

Radio 1 DJ, landmark producer, superstar DJ... Grooverider is one of the five biggest names in the jungle. He is truly a godfather of the scene, having been a star of the illegal rave scene before hardcore split from techno. There's a great picture on his myspace of himself, Goldie, Fabio and Bukem outside one of the original Rage nights... all munted. And that tells you what you need to know about this man.

As one of the original breaks champions, Grooverider is revered by anyone who loves the scene, but he is still working hard as a producer for Prototype Recordings and a radio presenter, and he always packs a DJ set with brand new discoveries and his own work. Oh, plus a few faves.

Grooverider is never less than amazing. If you follow the scene you'll see him three or four times a year and never miss a beat from his sets. Why would you?
