Dutch producer and DJ I-F is known for releases on Viewlexx and Disko B, and his regularly amazing CBS internet radio station, but also for being resolutely independent.
He could have been much more like a housewives' favourite, but at the dawn of the '90s electro revival opted to withhold his 'Space Invaders are Smoking Grass' track from the grasp of major labels in favour of principled obscurity.
If that record was seminal, then his 'Mixed Up In The Hague' compilations were perhaps even more so, this time creating a buzz around the then-obscure synthesiser oddities of Italo-disco.
