Laidback Luke
Laidback Luke is the moniker of DJ and producer Luke van Scheppingen - a Philippines born, Dutch raised beat expert who has become a global name in house music.
He began producing music as a teenager, taking his 'laid back' title from Snoop Dogg classic 'Gin and Juice'.
By 1995 he was firing out tracks that were far from laidback, and remixing artists like Green Velvet, Junior Sanchez and Victor Calderone as well as DJing professionally in a range of clubs.
In 2002 Virgin signed Luke's single 'Rocking With The Best' and his profile soared. A slew of remixes followed, including 'Sexy F**k for Steve Angello's label Size.
He has made a huge impact on the White Isle and in both the UK and Europe with his DJing and remixes. He became friendly with the Swedish House Mafia and has worked closely with David Guetta, Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso and Junior Sanchez.
