With her releases on Rephlex, XL and more recently Warp, Leila Arab has managed to create a distinctive and personal electronic sound. It sounds a bit like underwater beats are fighting to drag down tangentially soul- and R&B-inspired vocals, which are often slowed to a weird, gravelly pace.

He latest work also incorporates elements of MBV-style noise-rock.
