Martyn originally achieved recognition for his coolly soulful drum 'n' bass tunes in the mould of artists like Marcus Intalex.
The Dutch producer and DJ has since turned his hand to dubstep, successfully bringing out in the music elements of '90s 'intelligent' jungle, like breakbeat manipulation, soft, pinpoint bass tones and Detroit-esque synth washes.
He's also one of a growing band of the dubstep elite to explicitly use the dub-wise techniques of techno producers like Basic Channel.
