Plastician
Plastician is a Croydon-based DJ and producer at the heart of both the dubstep and grime movements. Formerly known as Plastic Man, he changed the moniker in order to avoid confusion with Richie Hawtin's alter-ego Plastikman.
His productions have plenty of the raw energy of grime, but also compare with the more reflective, sophisticated approach often associated with dubstep. Thanks to his Rinse FM show, a brief stint on Radio 1 and releases on a range of small labels including his own Terrorhythm, his contribution to both scenes is sizeable.
Plastician is also known for his skill on the decks, ably blending his own productions with grime and dubstep exclusives.
