Ralph Lawson, dubbed 'Britain's best kept secret' by Bill Brewster, was the first DJ to ever play Back to Basics, arguably the best club in Leeds, and, considering he's been the resident there for over a decade, he might well be the last. He plays crowds of all sizes around the globe from Moscow to Montreal. Perhaps the highlight of his career was playing to 20,000 people on Bondi Beach for Millenium. Known mostly for his deep house style, his productions are great for listening to at home or in the car but his sets can raise the roof too.
His recent Fabric mix was undoubtedly one of their best yet and his remixes for David Bowie, Blaze and Felix Da Housecat have earnt him serious respect as a producer. His label 2020 Vison is expanding fast with artists such as Paul Woolford, Audiojack and Silver City, not to mention the success of his own rocking 4-man band, 2020 Soundsystem, which include a DJ, live drums, vocalists, percussion, live keys and bass. Phew! Need we bore you any more about the brilliance of this man?
