Sander Van Doorn

Eindhoven's biggest export (after their football team and a number of delicious lagers) is this jumped up trance DJ turned populist producer whose bootleg versions of The Arctic Monkeys and other indie acts have won him recognition all over the UK. Sander regularly plays sets and creates essential mixes for Radio 1 - so you know he is a pretty serious DJ. However his taste in party music veers towards the "pumping party, party! Party in a tunnel with our shirts off yah!" end of the spectrum, with lashings of hard trance, piano-vocal house, and other euphoric beats. In other words he may produce sophisticated tracks but on the decks he is a day-glow "whistle crew" raver.
