The Correspondents
This hip hop, swing duo have taken stages around England by surprise. Their fusion of electro, jazz and sounds from the 1920s and 1930s have captivated their audiences and left us all wanting more.
They began in 2007, when Mr Bruce (Singer/MC) and Mr Chuckles (DJ/Producer) decided to take their tinkering to the next level. To date, they have shared the stage with the likes of Florence and the Machine, Basement Jaxx, Bat for Lashes, Dub Pistol etc. And they have played at festivals such as Glastonbury, Secret Garden Party, Bestival, Camden Crawl and many others.
They schmooze dub-step and electro lovers with their smooth sounds, wicked beats and impossibly cool flapper mixes. Mr Bruce brings a distinctive energy to the stage, clad in silver spandex and the like. He is backed by DJ Chuckles, with bass beats that would set your feet tapping up the walls if it were possible.
They are bizarre and deliciously fantastic.
