Toddla T is getting a lot of notice for his distinctively Sheffield take on dancehall, garage and hip-hop and his slick skills on the decks. The product of transatlantic infatuations, UK urban culture and the Steel City's tradition of bleep- and bass-heavy music, his wobbly rhythms have been put at the service of remix clients like Hot Chip, Roisin Murphy and Tricky.

As a DJ, Toddla keeps things varied with changes in speed and style and mashes things up by overlaying plenty of acappellas and versions.

Mainly, though, this guy is just a lot of fun. If you still haven't downloaded his Ghettoblaster mixtape, then you need to spend more time on the internet geeking out about music. Get on with it.
