Vitalic
Vitalic - aka Pascal Arbez - is a French electronic music producer of Italian descent. His first productions in the late '90s were lapped up by the underground techno scene but achieved little mainstream prominence.
He met Michael Amato (The Hacker) in the Rex - the 'techno temple' of Laurent Garnier. The Hacker linked him up with DJ Hell - head of Gigilo Records - the label which released Vitalic's Poney EP in 2001.
'La Rock 01' became a club anthem and his debut album 'OK Cowboy' was released on Different/Pias.
According to Vitalic, all the instruments used on the album are synthesized, and 'the only thing he can't fake is the emotion that galvanizes his music'.
