The UK's very own chillout wizards Henry Binns and Sam Hardaker are Zero 7, electronica specialists who despite much early success have proved themselves more than capable in other stylings.
On April 23rd, 2001, they released their debut album,
Simple Things, to wide acclaim. The album featured collaborations with vocalists
Sia amongst others.
After the similarly themed and equally regarded When it Falls in 2004, the duo have adopted a more acoustic flavour. First came The Garden in 2006 which included collaborations with
Jose Gonzalez and most recently Yeah Ghost in September 2009 incorporating folk elements with artists such as Martha Tilston.
Despite this departure from their electro routes, Zero 7's most recognisible track is from the debut album. In the Waiting Line, has been featured in Sex and the City, House, Numb3rs and the brilliant Zach Braff movie Garden State.
