Berlin based artist, Björn Dahlem is fascinated by astrophysics: he constructs sculptures and architectural installations that explore and mimic a whole range of part-real, part-theoretical scientific models.
Using found objects and discarded materials like timber, Styrofoam and neon strip-lights (where does he find this stuff?), Dahlem produces models of black holes, wormholes, neutron stars, quarks and various rays. There's something of the eccentric inventor about Dahlem's work: if you're also a fan of the whole science fiction/scientific reality crossover, then he's so the coolest thing right now.
