Franko B

Born in Milan but lving in London since 1979, Franko B is one of the world's most acclaimed performance artists. Whilst Franko also works across a broad variety of media, including sculpture,installation, painting and colage, it is for his performances that he is probably best known.

Franko's work focuses upon his own body and often involves him naked and bleeding a lot. His work is frequently rather repellent but undeniably fascinating. Few today follow the 'suffering for one's art' credo as far as Franko B.
