Born in Surrey in 1980, contemporary artist James R Ford currently lives and works in London.
Ford's work spins off from investigative projects based on the artist's almost childlike sense of curiosity. Odd deeds include covering a Ford Capri in over 4,000 toy cars, inventing a new sport and using his cat as an art tool. He also spent a year making paper cranes instead of producing art.
A refreshing sense of joy permeates all of Ford's oeuvre.
