Maria von Kohler

Maria von Köhler is a contemporary artist who generally produces sculptural works in plastic.

Influenced, it would seem, by the likes of Ron Mueck and Andreas Slominski, von Köhler's oeuvre is characterised by a fusion of the beautiful and disgusting: children's toys become imbued with menace, whilst a huge sculpture of a baby hovers menacingly overhead.
