Setting yourself up as a dandy is always a risky business: I mean, let's face it, nobody's going to out-dandy
Sebastian Horsley any time soon are they?
There are two major differences between the Horsley and artist/dandy Mark Leckey: 1. Leckey doesn't dress nearly so well. 2. He's actually a pretty successful artist. His work fuses sculpture, video, installation and, of course, performance in order to explore the many facets of contemporary British (sub) culture.
In 2008 Leckey was shortlisted for the
Turner Prize.
