William Furlong is a contemporary artist who lives and works in London.
Born in Woking, Surrey in 1944, Furlong studied at Guildford School of Arts and Crafts and then at the Royal Academy Schools.
During the early part of his career, Furlong produced paintings and sculptures, but since the early '70s his emphasis shifted towards sound art, and specifically an interest in the recorded voice.
He currently teaches at Wimbledon School of Art.
