At the forefront of a new musical renaissance that seems to be spilling forth from Africa, the duo produces incredible pop mixes traditional Mali sounds with rock guitars, Syrian violins, Cuban trumpets, Egyptian ney, Colombian trombones, Indian tablas and Dogon percussion. All these elements put together have been referred to as Afro-blues.
