Pennsylvanian rapper Asher Roth - who cites Mos Def, The Doots an OutKast as central influences - released his debut album, "Asleep In The Bread Aisle", in April 2009, making no. 5 in the US album charts.
Compared by some to Eminem (for obvious reasons), he represents an altogether geekier side of the American psyche, focusing his attention, for the most part, on middle-class minutiae: pizza, beer, college parties and so forth. Expect plenty of chart-busters as his career progresses.
