Avenged Sevenfold

Metalcore poster boys Avenged Sevenfold know about playing loud. Since 1999 these guys have had parents up and down the US Midwest shitting themselves over the thought of their kids listening to howled religious criticism over a soundtrack of grinding metallic punk rock.

The only problem with this image is that it doesn't hold up to scrutiny at all. Avenged Sevenfold are a pop band dressed up as Bleeding Through; OK, when they let loose these guys have the ability to shred flesh from bones with their rib punching hardcore (which is proved by their awesome first album 'Seventh Trumpet') but their penchant for eye liner and emo crooning just seems to soften the blow.
