Possessing an air of mystery has always been a tried and tested route to success - but Blank Dogs could be accused of stretching things a bit to far.
A faceless man with a less than prolific track record of releases and a hard to understand vocal style, it's difficult to see why anyone would give this guy(s?) a second look, and yet the music is actually quite brilliant - a disarming version of no wave, lo-fi punk and garage rock that sounds like Jay Reatard partying with Lou Reed.
Who said gimmicks were only for people with no talent, eh?
