Bloc Party rose to prominence in late 2004, adding a darker lyrical and bleaker musical stance to the growing artrock scene headed by Franz Ferdinand.
While their debut 'Silent Alarm' was a triumph, their second effort 'A Weekend In The City' was an altogether more dreary affair, racked with lyrics concerning the pitfalls of fame.
However, when they do get it right, and stop the moaning, they are still a very tasty proposition, and 'Banquet' will be filling indie dancefloors for years to come.
