Bob Dylan
For a moment, allow me to suspend all hyperbole and cliche (the default weapons of any music journo), to present one of the finest human beings to ever make music.
For me, Bob Dylan is the single most important musical artist of the 20th century; dozens of his obscure album tracks are infinitely more valuable than the entire output of most bands.
His finest moments, and there are many, sound as sharp and relevant today as they did when he emerged from Greenwich Village to burst the folk bubble and redefine rock music.
In hundreds of years time, Dylan will be revered in the same way we look at Beethoven and Mozart today – rock and folk never sounds better than in his hands.

I love Bob too. However mostly I just love having this piece of writing on the site - a little testament to the musical passions of Marcus. Back in the dawn of Spoonfed we once spent an entire day listening to nothing but Bob. We both agreed it had been great!
